The Wife of the Lord and the Bride of Christ
The Bible uses several different types of relationships to show us how we can relate to God. The Father and Son relationship shows us how God the Father relates to God the Son. There are two other relationships that the Bible uses to show us how we corporately relate to God. In the Old Testament, the Nation of Israel is seen as the Wife of the Lord. The New Testament teaches us that the Church is seen as the Bride of Christ.
