I haven been thinking a lot about what i posted i believe a day ago about the Eastern Gate. Maybe you can categorize it for people who object that the promised Messiah cannot walk through the Eastern gate because of the Muslim graveyard. In Israel the Eastern Gate is named "'Gate of Mercy or The Golden Gate''.( Sha’ar Haachamim). Why i believe the Messiah, will enter through the Eastern Gate, or Gate of Mercy is because of first what prophecy has to say about it. "The man then brought me back toward the sanctuary's outer gate that faced east, and it was closed. The Lord said to me: "This gate will remain closed". (Holman Christian Study Bible)
Another observance of The Golden Gate, is this is the very gate in which Jesus Christ came riding on a donkey during His Triumphant Entry coming from the Mount of Olives. Matthew 21:1-5 When they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage at the Mount of Olives, Jesus then sent two disciples telling them, "Go into the village ahead of you. At once you will find a donkey tied there, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to Me. If anyone says anything to you, you should say that the Lord needs them, and immediately he will send them."
This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled:
Tell Daughter Zion, "Look your King is coming to you, Gentle, and mounted on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a beast of Burden."
We know through Jewish traditions and through their history they would never defile themselves by touching a corpse .
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:
—Leviticus 21:1
Although this context was speaking in particular to the High Priest Priest. In Leviticus, there is some extensive writings about being "Clean and unlcean".
Why i believe this would not apply to the Messiah is because one thing. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16 First the dead in Christ will rise with the trumpet or shofar. However, if any of the (Muslims which are buried in front of the Eastern Gate), did not place their "trust" in Jesus Christ, then they will rise in eternal judgment Revelations is very clear on this issue. "Then the sea gave up its dead and Death and Hades gave up their dead; all were judged according to their works......'And anyone not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.' Revelations 13:13-15 (Holman Christian Study Bible)
and verses 11-12 "Then I saw a great white throne and One seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from His presence and no place was found for them. I also saw the dead the great and the small standing before the throne and books were opened. Another book was opened which is the book of life and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books."
This will make a way for the Messiah where He can walk through the graveyard and in no circumstance would He defile Himself when walking through the Gate of Mercy. There will be no bodies left in the grave when He comes. The Messiah will come through the gates but not like He did the first time when He was a type of Joseph (Yoseph) a suffering servant. This time the Messiah will come in the power and judgment of King David (Da'veed". And He will is going to shepherd all nations with an iron scepter... Revelations 12:5 (Holman Christian Standard Bible).
